Facil North America, Inc., is seeking a Branch Manager for our branch location in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Position Summary

Our Branch Managers lead and maintain the day-to-day management of the branch. Additionally, a Branch manager manages and safeguards customer relations and satisfaction. This position reports directly to the U.S. Operations Manager.  Compensation includes a competitive benefits package [including paid time off, health insurance, 401(k), etc.] along with the opportunity for continuous professional growth and development. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take care of the day-to-day management of the branch
  • Manage and safeguard customer relations and satisfaction
  • Coach the Facil Management System (FMS) in the branch
  • Support in Human Resources topics
  • Approve branch-related invoices
  • Search for new local opportunities (new customers, new activities, etc.)
  • Support central Purchasing with supplier evaluation and localization
  • Benchmark, negotiate and select local service suppliers (cleaning, transport, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain 5S
  • Define, implement and realize the operational plan and measure and report the status
  • Apply and safeguard the Facil values in daily operations
  • Translate processes/procedures to local market requirements and cultural specifications
  • Escalate market and organizational needs and opportunities to corporate level and work on continuous improvement projects to adapt to the changing and challenging environment
  • Train, coach, and manage the local Facil team members within the own functional domain
  • Decide and act; make it happen

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or minimum bachelor’s degree or equal experience required.
  • 5 years’ experience in a management function is required preferably in the automotive sector or in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in a warehousing or distribution center management is required
  • Fastener or metals knowledge is a plus
  • Good knowledge of customer requirements and customer standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proven track record of building and maintaining relationships while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.
  • Proven history of personal initiative, efficiency, meticulous attention to detail, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and performing quality work within deadlines with or without supervision
  • Ability to inspire, coach and develop people
  • Advanced computer literacy, including MS Office
