Operational Buyer


Facil North America, Inc., is seeking an experienced Operational Buyer for our North American Headquarters in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Position Summary

Our Buyers are responsible for sourcing, strategic commodity development, and the monitoring and execution of the purchasing process.  A Buyer is also responsible for initiating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for cost, quality, and delivery.  This position reports directly to the Purchasing Manager, North America and works closely with the FSP and Operations departments.  Compensation includes a competitive benefits package [including paid time off, health insurance, 401(k), etc.] along with the opportunity for continuous professional growth and development. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day tasks
  • Escalation points for different departments
  • Price maintenance on supplier level
  • Raw material adjustments
  • Responsible for supplier master data
  • Responsible for Tarif codes and COO
  • Additional duties as assigned.


  • Master or minimum bachelor’s degree or equal by experience
  • 1 to 2 years of purchase experience, preferably in the automotive sector
  • Technical interest is required, mechanical or material knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards required; experience with ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and/or others a plus.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including excellent negotiation skills illustrated by successfully meeting and/or exceeding expectations on pricing/rates, terms, and other deliverables.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; proven track record of building and maintaining relationships while balancing short-term needs and long-term objectives.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities; ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex information and apply to practical situations.
  • Proven history of personal initiative, efficiency, attention to detail, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and performing quality work within deadlines with or without supervision.
  • PC proficiency required, including MS Office. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package is a required. Knowledge of other industry-specific or custom software is a plus.
