Position Summary:
Our Product Sales Manager will drive the Product Sales team. This includes evaluating and adapting processes and structures when needed, defining a clear account plan for every type of customer, motivating the team to execute the account plan, and increasing customer intimacy for the premium. This position reports directly to the Managing Director Business Development & Product Sales and works closely with other business units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead Product Sales team in Europe and develop the product sales business lines by a dedicated team, ensuring an efficient, convenient, and reliable customer service and supply chain (including a strong e-commerce sales & service channel)
- Coordinate and lead the acquisition and implementation of new customers and projects
- Understand customer requirements/objectives; create and implement appropriate value propositions and commercial strategies
- Maximize Product Sales’ added value by optimizing operational efficiencies, purchasing efforts, and pricing strategies
- Lead and manage customer satisfaction initiatives and ratings, providing guidance to account managers and other members of the team, creating strategy where needed
- Be and act as a manager; provide clear structure, organization, and targets; develop business lines as appropriate
- Map the team competences, identify backup, potential personal development and organize the necessary training for the team
- Control and improve profitability through dedicated account plan(s)
- Maintain current SWOT analyses for region
- Implement a capture plan to trigger prospect’s interest
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members (e.g., business development, purchasing, quality, engineering, supply chain experts) on projects and opportunities
Requirements
- Master’s or minimum bachelor’s degree (engineering, economics, sales, business, etc.) or equal by experience
- +5 years’ experience in a Business Development role within the automotive sector.
- Experience as people manager is a nice to have.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills as well as experience working successfully in cross-functional teams; able to create and deliver effective presentations via multiple mediums to individuals as well as varied groups of people.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills; proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external customers is a must.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites in various geographies; most travel will be within Europe, but some international travel may be required.
