Position Summary

As Quality Manager, you will define, implement and realize the operational quality plan.

Supervision and management of the customer complaints and supplier rejections are one of your main tasks. You will also make the final decision on product non-conformity in line with customer requirements and the blocking or releasing of goods. For this, you will be working closely together with the Quality Coordinators in the different locations in Europe.

You will support the other departments (business development, purchasing,…) with operational projects and will train your team to work according to customer and automotive standards. Building up relationships internally and externally is one of strength that enables you to be effective.

The execution of the Internal Audit Process related to Quality, Safety and Environmental Systems and coordinating the Certification Audits (external) is also one of your key responsibilities.

On top, you will implement, monitor and maintain the execution of the Facil Management System.

As Quality Manager, you will lead, motivate and support your team by understanding their needs, collaboratively developing solutions and providing effective coaching. You will be responsible for managing three Quality Engineers based in Genk, as well as Quality Coordinators and Quality Inspectors located at our sites in Europe (Belgium, Spain, Sweden and France). You will report to the Managing Director FSP, located in Genk.

Qualifications

• Bright and energetic individual, master education and passionate about quality
• At least 5 years of experience in a quality responsibility, preferably within the automotive or technical sector
• Proven and successful track record of people management: minimum 3-5 years of experience as a people manager
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)  and a good understanding of the FMEA methodology
• Analytical and people-oriented, with strong business acumen and equally strong common sense
• Fluency in English (other languages are an asset)
• Travel is a plus to you, rather than a burden
