Tax Accountant

Our Tax Accountant is responsible for Mexican compliance, doing the monthly tax payments (Income tax, VAT, DIOT), VAT refund claims, SAT authority’s requirements, support the Finance Manager to attend the audits. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Determine provisional payments of Income Tax, VAT and withholdings for companies established in Mexico and prepare work papers that support the calculation.
• Prepare work papers that support Income Tax calculations and tax accounting reconciliation.
• Integration of Income Tax for legal entities in Mexico
• Integration of tax deductions through CFDI
• DIOT declaration
• Electronic accounting
• VAT refunds
• Attention to requirements or clarifications to the SAT

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in tax compliance
• Solid knowledge of electronic invoicing 4.0, tax requirements and practical application, and determination of provisional payments for VAT and income tax payments.
• Knowledge of MS Office and intermediate-level Excel skills.
• Good knowledge of English (Advanced)
• Knowledge ERP system (preferably SAP) is a PLUS
• Accounting, financial audit, tax certification is a PLUS
• End-to-end process-oriented
• Highly accurate, hands-on and analytical mindset
